Provident Corporation today announced the development of the new on-metal tag label, "Metal-Attach® MA02."
This new "Metal-Attach® MA02" uses low-priced paper label like the conventional bar-code labels. And there are a crease and a slit on this label like the previous "Metal-Attach®." This simple and unique design enables the MA02 stand on.
This original configuration makes a space between an inlay on the MA02 and the product on which the MA02 is attached, and generates electromotive force. Because of this, the MA02 can be attached on metals, liquid containers, etc., which the conventional UHF IC- tag is difficult to attach.
Further more, since the MA02 uses paper label, you can print on it with a label printer.
There are 2 types in the "Metal-Attach® MA02"; MA02-22 which has a separator-cut on back side to prevent stickiness, and MA02-21 with no separator-cut.
Provident starts to sell the "Metal-AttachR MA02" from July 11, 2011.
Provident completed the basic trial to evaluate whether the "Metal-Attach® MA02" can be used for coils and steel pipes at steel plants, and concluded as the outcome that the data on the MA02 could be read very finely.
For the next step, Provident starts the development of the new reader/writer system which can read data on the "Metal-Attach®" perfectly even it is badly attached.
The company also plans the mass production of the dedicated terminals with RFID reader/writer function for administration of coils and steel pipes at steel plants and coil centers, and the development of the robot which can attach "Metal-Attach®" automatically.
